Dushanzi Grand Canyon: The Hidden Wonder of the Duku Highway
Why Visit Dushanzi Grand Canyon
Located at the northern gateway of the legendary Duku Highway, Dushanzi Grand Canyon is one of Xinjiang’s most dramatic yet underrated natural wonders. Carved over millions of years by powerful river erosion, the canyon reveals a breathtaking landscape of rugged cliffs, deep ravines, and striking geological formations. Often compared to a “mini Grand Canyon,” it offers a raw, untamed beauty without the crowds—perfect for travelers seeking something truly unique and off the radar.
What to See & Experience
Walk along panoramic viewing platforms that overlook vast canyon systems stretching into the horizon. The layered rock formations, shaped by wind and water, create a surreal, almost otherworldly scenery—especially during sunrise and sunset when colors shift from golden hues to deep reds.
For adventure seekers, explore designated trails along the canyon rim, offering incredible photo opportunities at every turn. The contrast between the barren canyon and the distant snow-capped Tianshan Mountains adds depth and drama to the landscape.

The Duku Glass Bridge is a flexible suspension bridge with a single span of 186 meters. Its design is inspired by the snow lotus of Tianshan Mountain. The bridge deck has a net width of 3 meters and a maximum height of 200 meters above the ground. There is a lotus-shaped viewing platform in the center of the bridge, which includes 3D iceberg patterns, 9D glass shattering effects, and Unreal Engine radar interactive games.
Step-by-Step Thrill is a high-altitude adventure attraction. The suspension bridges reach a maximum height of 80 meters, featuring a total of four sections—two bridges measuring 140 meters each and two measuring 100 meters each in clear span length. The bridge deck is constructed with 80 cm-wide anti-corrosion wooden planks, spaced at intervals of 72 cm, creating a thrilling, heart-pounding experience with every step.
The aerial bike, also known as the wire bike, is a bicycle that is ridden on a steel wire. The Grand Canyon aerial bike is 140 meters long and has a maximum height of 150 meters. It can accommodate 2 passengers per ride. The bicycles are special bicycles, and riders ride back to back and front to back.
The cliff swing is built on the edge of the Grand Canyon cliff and has three levels: 20 meters, 15 meters and 10 meters. Every time you ride it, you will be outside the cliff.
