By Metro
Take Guangzhou Metro Line 1 or Line 6 to Huangsha Station (Exit F/E) or Line 6 to Cultural Park Station (Exit E), and walk for 3-8 minutes to reach Shamian Island.
Recommended Transportation Options:
- Huangsha Station Option (near Shamian North Street/West Entrance): Take Line 1 or Line 6 to Huangsha Station, exit from Exit F and walk for about 3 minutes; some signs also mention Exit E, which is about a 5-8 minute walk.
- Cultural Park Station Option (near Shamian East Gate 2): Take Line 6 to Cultural Park Station, exit from Exit E and walk for about 4 minutes to enter the Shamian East District.

- East-west direction: Shamian Island is an open-air island neighborhood with no entrance fee. Two subway stations are located on the west side (where the British Concession style is concentrated) and the east side (where the French Concession style is concentrated). Choose the station closest to your starting point.
