Suzhou The Lingering Garden

Suzhou The Lingering Garden

Among one of the four most famous gardens of China, the Lingering Garden  was originally built in Ming Dynasty (1593) . It is famous for its artist way of dealing with spaces in architecture.

From the gate to the garden, there is an S-shaped aisle about 50 meters long, sometimes narrow and wide, and curved. Through the changes of space size, light and shade, and twists and turns, this passage becomes very interesting.

The whole garden offers visitors a rich and complicated viewing experience.

The Cloud-Capped Peak, 6.5 meters high, is a piece of exquisitely carved limestone left behind from the Song Dynasty.
