YunNan DaLi Old Town

Dali is located at the junction of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Hengduan Mountains. The vast mountains of Cangshan and the vast expanse of the Blue ER Sea form a magnificent picture of the lake and the mountains.

25 ethnic minorities such as Bai, Yi, Hui, Tibetan, Sui and Naxi are scattered in ancient villages such as Dali Ancient City, Xizhou and Shuanglang, and traditional snacks such as tie-dye and other folk techniques and bait blocks show national charm.

Best travel time

Dali’s four seasons are like spring, there is no obvious severe winter heat, and the four seasons are not very obvious. Spring and Autumn, March-May, September-November is the best time to travel in Dali.

  • March-May: As the song sings: “Dali March is a good sight.” Not only is the temperature the most pleasant, but many festivals and events of the Bai people are also concentrated in this period, such as the historic Bai Festival, the “March Street”.
  • June-August: As the rainy season progresses, the sun becomes stronger, and the azaleas along the way to Shangri-La open to the peak.
  • September-November: At the end of summer and autumn, the scenery is the richest in color and the autumn is intoxicating. It is a good time for photographers to travel.
  • December-February: Although it is winter, it is still suitable for traveling.
