Beiing Mutianyu Great Wall

Beijing’s Mutianyu Great Wall is located in the Huairou District of Beijing, 73 kilometers away from Beijing City. With a long history and splendid culture, it enjoys the reputation of “the Great Wall of China, Mutianyu alone” at home and abroad

The Mutianyu Great Wall was supervised by the Ming Dynasty general Xu Da on the site of the Northern Qi Great Wall in 1368. It is the essence of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall connects with Gubeikou in the east and Juyongguan in the west.

As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs.
