★ Goukou (Scenic Area Entrance):
Along National Highway 317 near the Tourist Center, you will find family-run guesthouses and small inns. The accommodation scale is relatively small and facilities are basic, but the area is very close to the scenic spot—within walking distance.
★ Putou Township:
Located 14 kilometers from the Tourist Center, this area offers a larger number of accommodations with better facilities and overall comfort.
★ Lixian County Town:
This area provides the best accommodation conditions, though it is farther from the scenic area.
★ Guer Valley (Guer Gou):
The only hot spring area in Lixian. Accommodation here is quite good and is an ideal choice after visiting Bipenggou—enjoying the hot springs is a perfect way to relax and unwind.
★ Inside the Scenic Area:
The Namu Lake Hotel is the only lodging option located within Bipenggou itself. It combines accommodation with hot spring access, allowing guests to enjoy an early morning soak while watching the sunrise.

Travel Tips:
Travelers can either hike along the trail or take shuttle bus from Shanghaizi station to explore more of Bipenggou.
For walking, it will take about 3-4 hours,make sure to return the bus terminal-Shanghaizi station before 5pm to catch the last bus.

The scenic area has only one main touring route, divided into three sections that combine transportation and hiking:
Tourist Center → Shanghaizi Service Station (Sections 1)
After buying tickets from the gate of the scenic spot and entering, take the sightseeing bus of the scenic spot and pass through Longwanghai and Namu Lake, and then you can go directly to the Shanghaizi Sub-reception Center, the whole journey is about 26 kilometers. There are snow-capped mountains along the way, and there are many viewing spots for red leaves.
You must take the scenic area shuttle bus (about 40 minutes), with a brief stop at Longwang Lake (龙王海).
Tip: No need to stop—continue directly to Shanghaizi, where the scenery is much better.
Shanghaizi → Panyang Lake (Sections 2)
4.5 km, accessible by hiking trail or electric shuttle (30 RMB round trip / 20 RMB one-way).
Tip:
- For average physical strength: choose the round-trip shuttle.
- For good physical strength: buy a one-way uphill ticket and hike downhill for better sightseeing.
Panyang Lake → Swallow Rock Basin (Yanziyanwo) (Sections 3)
4.5 km, also available by hiking or electric shuttle (same prices as above).
The route passes Hongshan Lake (downhill shuttle available).
Tip: Buy a one-way uphill ticket and hike down for the best experience.
